At the Pocono Township Volunteer Fire Company, safety and preparedness are our top priorities. We ensure that our members receive continuous training and have access to the latest equipment to perform their duties effectively. Firefighting is a demanding and ever-evolving field, which is why we emphasize ongoing education to keep our team prepared for any emergency. From fire suppression techniques to medical response and search-and-rescue operations, our training covers a wide range of critical skills. With access to modern tools and protective gear, our firefighters are equipped to handle challenges safely and efficiently.

who can join?
If you have the drive to serve your community and the willingness to learn, you could be a great fit for our team. We welcome individuals who meet the following criteria:
At least 18 years old (or 16+ for junior members) – Start gaining experience early with our junior firefighter program.
Dedicated to community service – Have a passion for helping others and making a difference.
Willing to train and learn new skills – Be open to continuous learning and improvement.

Taking the first step is easy, and we’re here to guide you through the process. If you're interested in becoming a member, stop by the firehouse any Wednesday at 7 PM to meet our team, ask questions, and get a firsthand look at what it's like to be a volunteer firefighter. No experience is necessary—we’ll provide the training and support you need to succeed.
